The model uses the existing 2006 NLCD land use for your area; this tool allows you to sketch in changes in land use, which become a second model scenario.

Select an area for one land use change, and submit that change before trying to draw a second polygon.

We suggest you turn on the map layer of existing land use from the 'Layers' tab



Click to begin digitization.

Click to zoom to your polygon. Click to clear all placed markers on the map.
Your current area is roughly 0 acres (0 km squared).
Click each time you finish making a landuse polygon.
Click to clear all previously created areas from the map (submitted data is not lost).
You can run two versions of the L-THIA model. One is Low Impact L-THIA LID and the other is the TR 55 version. The TR 55 version allows editing CN and EMC as well as landuse and soil combinations. It also allows user to upload their own precipitation data.

Press this button to export your watershed data to the L-THIA LID spreadsheet (external link).
